I'm going to leave definitions to the individual voter.
Mr A. and I had a discussion about this kind of thing last night. We agreed that Blackadder was more consistent, whereas Hitchhiker's had more flashes of genius. So he chose Blackadder while I picked Hitchhiker's.
I think you're right:) Blackadder also seemed relatively more side-splitting to me than Hitchhiker which is more of a bring a smile to your face kind of flash of genius. Definitely genius! Blackadder sort of works at a more spontaneous level. Hitchhiker works spontaneously in parts and in a sort of grow upon you way in parts. I quite like it that way though:)
I voted Blackadder... I need quickie funnies right now. So very subjective. I shall probably feel diferently tomorrow.
I'm realizing it's ages since I've watched any 'Blackadder'. I had large chunks of it memorized by the time I left university... I wonder if I can still recite it after *cough* years...
Oh well, > there's only five books... I once reread the first four at one go ... during a 28 hour train journey. Along with a rather insipid issue of MAD.

Yes it is, not 'that it be'.
(I contemplated creating another LJ just so I could vote for both.)
Down's nice.

You could now start reciting Vogon poetry then?
