Sorry, never liked her. Wasn't all that keen on the dog, though I didn't actively dislike it, and its existence is wholly justified by appearances in Queer as Folk.
I never liked Sarah-Jane either, though when many years later I saw some of the stories she had been in I found her far less annoying than I had remembered. I wasn't very keen on K9 either.
She was supposed to be a strong-minded, feisty, career woman, but she seemed to spend most of her time either screaming or asking silly questions. Maybe she came across better if one was under ten. :)
I thought they'd bring him back when I heard about Sarah Jane. It didn't occur to me, but it does make sense.
Mickey being a companion is a new one on me though! Hmmm, but if it's set on present-day Earth, then he probably isn't a "companion", he'll just be participating in the episode to the same level he has before, being dragged into the mayhem.

I hope we get some alien planets though. I know all the Earth eps made a very satisfying arc in the end, but I'd like a bit of strangeness too.
