Happy Gauda Prime Day!

Cripes, lawks, and lumme, it's thirty - count 'em - THIRTY years since things turned out so terribly well for Our Heroes on Gauda Prime!

Happy Gauda Prime Day, folks! May your rebellions make it to the New Year!

PS If my day turns out as planned, I'll be watching "Blake" tonight, starting at 8.10pm, and tweeting as I watch: #GaudaPrimeDay

And many (errr, somewhat) happy returns of the day to you as well!!!

(Raising a glass to our maybe-dead heroes here...)

Hurray! Happy days and times!

No matter how many HEX stories I've read and enjoyed, at heart I know they're all dead because that's the way the story ends.

Absolutely.

Thirty years... how did that happen? Happy Gauda Prime Day, indeed!

I know - unbelievable how long ago it is.

Dear me, that makes me feel very old.

But I shall raise a glass to them all later.

I know. Thirty.

And to you!

The happiest time of the year!

Thirty years. Thirty years.... And I remember exactly where and what I was doing thirty years ago tonight. I shall endeavour to join you at 8:10 tonight for the repeat. :-)

That was fun! Thanks for joining in!

Thanks for getting the ball rolling. :-)

The bit about "they don't have long to get this wrapped up" was fairly close to what I *was* thinking exactly thirty years earlier... "There's only ten minutes to go, they don't have much time to get out of this one", as near as I can recall.

It has an amazing pace. Begins with the base exploding and then doesn't stop. Everything careers out of control - they're not involved in a scheme, or trying to chase a scientist, or any of the plots of the week. Just coping with event after after, until - blam. Brilliant stuff.

Coor blimey guv'nor, strike a light and stone the crows, has it really been thirty years between that cold, dark evening and this one? I must dust off the tape, wind up the VCR and salute our heroes. I hope you had a good viewing; Happy Solstice for tomorrow. :-)

I know, thirty years! Enjoy your rewatch and Happy Solstice!

No idea what this means, but if there's a drink, I'll be happy to join in...

Take a glass, pull up a chair! We are marking the thirtieth anniversary of the transmission of the last episode of the cult BBC science fiction series Blake's 7. Those of us who saw it at the time have very strong memories, for very particular plot reasons! I won't spoil, however!
