Junot Diaz

I had the good fortune to hear the writer Junot Diaz speak at Foyle's in London last night. (He's the author of The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, and his new anthology, This is How You Lose Her has just been published.) I tweeted from the talk, and I've put these tweets together on Storify, here. Wish I'd been able to transcribe the whole event. Hilarious, humane, intelligent, inspiring.

I am jealous. Oscar Wao was pretty amazing.

Yes, it's a great book. And he's pretty amazing in person!

Thanks for sharing this "tweet sequence". Junot Diaz has been on my reading list for some time.
I especially liked Good to have models of producing art that aren't the superficial super-fluidity that we're sold. For me, the right words at the right time :)

Good! And I'd heartily recommend his books.
