Picowrimo's summer outing

It's not too late to join in the summer round of [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo!

What is [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo? From the community profile:

PicoWriMo started out as a place for people who wanted to participate in some of the madness and achievement of NaNoWriMo, but wanted a more realistic target - say 500 or 5000 words...

We have daily prompts for people to post about the progress they're making and to give encouragement to others to hit their writing targets...

There are no goals other than those you set for yourself, and no compulsion beyond what you put upon yourself. There are no limits on genre, style, age, or experience, and both fiction and non-fiction are welcome.

Usually [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo runs during November alongside NaNoWriMo, but [livejournal.com profile] espresso_addict has generously organised a July outing. If you've had a piece lying around that you've always wanted to finish, [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo might just be the spur and support that you need!

Thanks, Altariel! I've got myself a special icon and I'm enjoying it already. By the way, if you've got a moment, [livejournal.com profile] lilian_cho was asking the moderator about the pimping policy in the Day 2 post and it didn't seem to be covered in the profile.

[livejournal.com profile] lilian_cho PMed me: I said it was fine by me if it was fine by you.

(I only happen to be mod of picowrimo because I started the community - I think of whoever happens to be running the current round as the moderator. To be honest, it's not needed any modding at all. If a current member has something to do with writing that they want to bring to the attention of other current members - that seems perfectly reasonable to me.)
