Mm, angsty goodness...
In no particular order, here are my current top five Faramir angst stories at HASA. Kewl!
1. That Which Remains Us by Dwimordene. A superb answer to the Denethor Poetry Challenge, involving Faramir, a trunk, and some linnods.
2. First by Kirixchi. Short and beautiful. Does the heart-leaping trick. In 800 words.
3. Closer to Fine and Box of Rain by Alon. Two very well-crafted and emotional punch-delivering stories. Alon makes several very deft moves that allow these stories to explore a wide number of issues concerning gender relations in Gondorian society.
4. Messages by Shakes. This story doesn't get enough reviews. Shakes is writing in her second language, and her characterization, grasp of detail, dialogue and ability to write clear and exciting action scenes make me extremely envious.
5. Father and Sons by Dwimordene. Angst, excellent characterizations, angst, detailed examinations of the politics of Minas Tirith, angst... Did I mention there was angst? Super.
Oh, and then there's Captain, My Captain, of course!
Well, I enjoyed that.
Meanwhile, TBT proofs coming along swimmingly. Looks like the viva will be at the end of July. I think Dr Altariel sounds just funky :-D

Oops - should have checked LJ before asking how they were going in my last e-mail! Assuming that the above doesn't mean that you spilled your morning vat of coffee on them, I'm glad they're going well. ;-)
