Oh God, poor Sarah-Jane! Poor Mickey! Poor K9 Mk 3!

Hooray for Sarah-Jane! Hooray for Mickey! Hooray for K9 Mk 3! He's a big damn tin hero.

Mr A thinks that the only downside of this great episode is the slightly-too-cartoony monsters. Although they do look exactly like that maths teacher. And we love the shot of Sarah finding the TARDIS, and the music stopping just before she sees the Doctor.

And you can hear the "Bad Wolf" theme when she spots the TARDIS; just before the Doctor says, "Hello, Sarah-Jane", and she's immediately all, "oh, it's you!"

Ah, Mickey. Where I actually begin to stop seeing him as just some accessory to Rose and start seeing him as a person in his own right, with his own abilities. And also start tearing my hair about why he wasn't in the TARDIS in the first place, instead of the simpering ninny...

I think Mickey ends up with much more character development than Rose. Mr A commented as we were watching 'The End of the World' that that's probably the last time Rose learns anything.
