It was absolutely scrumptious; the figs were sticky and sweet, and the ice-cream was a palate cleanser... Mmm!

I think it was the Place Vendome (Mr A. will correct me if I'm wrong). The buildings on one side were being renovated (you can see the boarding in the background), and they had some sculptures out so it didn't look too ghastly.
