I'm sick, so I have absolutely no idea how I stumbled across this LJ. (Hey, if I was screwed enough to puke when Ryan Giggs *didn't* score against Arsenal, I must be really... screwed. Or something.)

I was made to feel old earlier today when someone on one of my mailing lists asked why people put the suffix 'gate' to words when they mean a scandal.

*bangs head on wall* I'm so sorry! You shouldn't be feeling old (especially since you're not). It's just me, I'm a dumb kid who doesn't know better. And I have earned a reputation for being dense at times. :P
