That wasn't boring at all! (Okay, I haven't seen so many daffodils in the past three years...) But thank you for my first view at Cambridge ever!

They're all great! But you're right, the pictures are big....

There is a free graphics program that you can download:

The Windows version is compatible with most Windows system. It's a Linux freeware package. With this, you can crop pictures, resize them, turn them green, etc. with more details than you can in the Paint program from Windows.

I can also arrange to have you be a "beta user" of a piece of photo-management freeware that I did the documentation for in real life. It allows you to manage your pictures and set them up on pages for printing really easily. It's got some image editing functions as well. Contact me off-journal if you're interested!

Isn't it just? It was particularly beautiful yesterday - sunnier than in these shots, also the blossom is out by now. And quiet - students are gone, wasn't too touristy.

What camera did you get?

Er... it's silver, and it has the word 'Sony' on it... And the word 'Cybershot'... and some letters here: DSC-P72...

The best bit of the present is the little device that reads the camera's memory stick.

Go and have your lunch in peace and commune with the swans. I must check when they open the Fellows' garden at Clare, that's one of my favourite spots.

Less to attract the Tolkien devotee than Oxford, of course, but it is a beautiful city. Sunnier at the moment, and with more blossom than in these pictures. I might try to get a few more later in the week. Glad you liked them!

Beautiful pictures. Am sobbing with jealousy, as here on the frozen Canadian prairies we won't see daffodills for three weeks at best (though mine have bravely decided to send up shoots).

I love daffodils, they're jaunty and spirited. I'm glad you like the pictures, I'll try to get some sunnier ones this week. Kicking myself for leaving my camera at home yesterday when I was down the same way.

Thanks for the advice on GIMP, that's two plugs so I must check it out! I've been using Paint and also Office Picture Manager, but have largely confined myself to cropping pictures and adding text for LJ icons.
