Probably flying-induced. I was only six at the time. It was some sort of stop en-route from NZ to LA and then on to UK. We had a very brief time on the ground, in which Mum cleaned me up, and the hosties cleaned the plane up, then on to LA for 24 hours.
I barely remember any of the LA stopover, so as far as I'm concerned it doesn't count.
Awwww... my stepson got on me last night because I hadn't done the US map one. Why? Because I've been to 48 out of 50. It looks, well, kindof boastful.
That's why I showed him my world map, in which I've only visited 8% of the world's countries.
If you're ever within 3 states of Tennessee, let me know. I'll come visit!
Good ones! Actually, I stopped over in Hawaii when I flew to Australia to live there for a year, and my sister was born in Rhode Island- we lived there for 3 years. Alaska I have not been to, nor Maine up in the far northeast. I was kindof stunned the other day to realize that I've been to Mt. Rushmore three times, I think. Why, I wonder, did we visit so many times??
I may actually be coming to the UK in the spring- my mom wants me to meet her while she's there for a conference and for the two of us to travel around Ireland. So maybe I could see you in England!

Re:
I remember my LA stopover far too well, so I did count California.

Let me know your plans for England! If you're in London for a few days, it's very close to here.
