Now that's a hell of a lineup.

It's pretty damn brilliant, isn't it? Oh, yes - Under the Rose arrived today, and it looks beautiful. Also - it's huge!

It certainly is. 'Nuff respect to you all, and to Big Ian for getting you all together. I have a feeling Newcon Press is in the process of writing a very considerable name for itself.
Bless you for buying a copy of Under The Rose. You could have had one of my complimentary copies, you know; I got them the other day. I know it's a bit chunky; if it had come out when it was supposed to it would have been less than half the length, but it kind of accreted stories down the years as I met people. I didn't realise quite how big it was until I got the ARC copy.
It is lovely, isn't it? I've been very lucky.

Aw, that is kind of you about the complimentary copy! I do like to give cold hard cash for books by friends, though! I've got a long coach journey next weekend out to Snowdonia (ten hours, eek), and this will be ideal for the journey. I'm so pleased for you that it's all come together at last.

Thanks! I'm quite pleased it's all over, too. One day I'll tell you the full insane story, complete with swearwords. Thing is, after telling everyone I know to shoot me if I look like I'm even thinking of doing another one, I'm...thinking of doing another one.
