NaArMaMo Day 12

Now I've started, I could sit looking at the oregano all day. Only it's just started tipping down.

I think it's this. There were three of them at one point, but it was too windy and sunny to get them all in shot. I think I got my auto-focus to work this time though! Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] greylin!

How lovely. I must say you're a very gentle butterfly collector, compared with the pins, camphor and cabinets crowd.

Lovely! I like the light and shade on the green leaves - such a vibrant green.

Have you ever read any of the Moomin books by Tove Jansson? There is a Hemulen in them who collects moths and butterflies with the full range of deadly weapons, and I would not like to be mistaken for a Hemulen.

It is so beautiful here at the moment. All this rain and sunshine.

Definitely a gatekeeper. The two white dots on each wing are what always fix it for me.

Lovely photo. Why aren't they on my oregano!

And the wind, which over here in East Herts is blustering about like anything. I love days like these: the wind ruffling the puddles and making them glitter, and then a heavy downpour and five minutes later the sun is shining brightly.

:-) I wish I'd managed to get a picture of the three of them.

They're so vaguely familiar that I might have read some of them - or had them read to me - when I was little. But not read in any proper way.

I think you would love them: they have a very dry, very loving, very anarchic humour.

I love them too! Not great for airing the mattress, as I'd planned, but too refreshing to mind very much.

In the Giant HP Fic Of Doooom that I am still writing, still writing, still writing, Hermione's parents call her Little My for short.

That is adorable.

So NaArMaMo is clearly National Art Making Moth. :)

Oh, well done, sir!

Ooooh, greenery. So cool and pretty...

It has been beautiful here the past few days - very sunny, very windy, very fresh. Exactly my kind of summer!
