AAAAAAAURGH, the spirit of dark and lonely water! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

They imported that even up here, it's TERRIFYING.

Crikey! The article half-suggests that the line about sensible children isn't scary; I think it's one of the scariest of the lot.

Also: "I'll be back"! :-)

And I thought that Honogurai mizu no soko kara/Dark Water was scary...

*hides*

This is too funny. Creepy funny. It falls in the "so bad it's good" category. Nothing says child safety quite like the Grim Reaper's twin brother (with Donald Pleasance's voice, of course).

Fantastic!

(GIRL picks up cape and is disgusted, throws it in water)

Ooh, I wonder if she works for Vogue now? Or did she grow up to be Trinny and Susannah?

BTW, it should be obvious why parents don't let their little ones play outside anymore. They were all scared stupid by watching this when they were young and impressionable.

The Spirit of Dark and Lonely Water is truly an evil mastermind. Did you learn everything you know at his knee?

And the sensible children are all called Susan. Obviously. Even the boys.

He was a great teacher. *modestly* But some of the refinements are my own.

(admires icon) What a great juxtaposition of quote and image! Where is that quote from? I'm sure I should know...

[identity profile] katlinel.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you! The quotation is from T S Eliot's Four Quartets, Burnt Norton.

I'm not skilled with graphics tools but I do like finding words to suit an image. I'd been wanting a Rose icon for ages, when [livejournal.com profile] altariel1 quoted that part of Burnt Norton, and that was exactly the quote I wanted for the image.

Blimey!
